In fact on my kid's iMac the fans works much more than on mine, when playing Wows. So I installed a Fan control utility and it works better by now. Today, I played more for same reason in the evening and same story: 2 Restarts as of midnight, but I checked out about this spontaneous Restart and could be temperature or power supply or just the ac stability. Yesterday I played many battles, due to Bismark hunt, and after 5/6 battles I had a spontaneous Restart (!!), twice in the middle of battles!!! Bloody hell! Take care and welcome to the Mac ghetto on wows eu! no way, I hate that os x! But it's on his mac I noticed the changes I told you above, so we had to lower some graphics in order to avoid some crashes. My kid play it on a later iMac with Yosemite. Do not like at all the later os x, just done for all connected people that's not what I am at all!!! If it could run on my beloved 10.6.8 Snow Leopard I will! It's the best system Apple made (light, snappy, quick, complete), and I've been working on it for SFx, video graphics and editing for years and thousands of hours, I tell you! I run it on a pretty "old" iMac late 2010, 21", ATI 512MB, 12 GB ram, but on 10.8.5 MLion. Not that easy, not that simple to handle whatever GPU addressing or virtual memory in both systems at once. Since some versions, they use generally high resolution quality in the map and other 3D rendering, so no matter the super Mac you have, it might be a problem to handle higher graphics, because as I think you know the wrapper (mac client) simulate windows: so it's a piece of software that is in the middle of a system (os x), a simulator (wine,) another system (windows) and the pc app wows.exe. Then if it works you can start turning higher value but step by step, so you do recognize which one is the real problem. Usually in my experience it depends on Graphics setting, so you must start with Low general preset, no particles, no foliage, reduced fire, no special reflex, no anti-aliasing special or not.
